Why do I need an AI key?

The features that think about your content (Suggest, Depurate, the critic editor, titles and footage analysis) send work to an AI model. With your own key, your provider bills that cost directly, at list price and with no markup from Max: around 1 USD per hour of video.

Everything else doesn't use AI: importing, transcribing, reframing, subtitling, stabilizing and exporting run on your PC or your phone.

• An OpenAI or Anthropic (Claude) key works. With Anthropic, Suggest, Depurate and the critic editor work.
• During the trial, some accounts include Max's AI, enough for roughly one hour of video. When it runs out, Max lets you know and you choose whether to continue with your key.
