AI key (OpenAI or Anthropic)

What it does

Connects your account to your AI provider for Suggest, Depurate, the critic editor, GFX titles and footage analysis. It's saved in Settings → AI and corrections, under OpenAI API key (BYOK) or Anthropic API key (Claude).

When to use it

When you want AI to propose sequences or clean up your videos.

What it doesn't do

You don't need it to import, transcribe, reframe, add subtitles or export. Max adds no markup: you pay list price directly to your provider.

What it needs

An OpenAI or Anthropic key with credit. With Anthropic, Suggest, Depurate and the critic editor work; everything else uses OpenAI. To delete it, use Delete my key.
