Create a project from a video

What it does

Creates a project from a video on your PC or from a link, and gets it ready to transcribe. You do it in the Upload a video panel, with Choose local video and Process.

When to use it

Once per recording. If the recording came in several parts, create the project with the first one and add the rest.

What it doesn't do

It doesn't upload your original video to the server when the Companion is running: the file stays on your drive and only lightweight versions travel, for viewing and editing.

What it needs

The Companion running on your PC (or the Android app on your phone) to work locally and to paste links.
